A child who was pulled from a pond in the city of Ham Lake more than a week ago has died.
Two-year-old Uriel Umzee Remi died at Children's Hospital on Sunday morning, according to a news release from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office. Remi was found unresponsive in a pond at Lion's Park on June 12.
Two other people drowned that same weekend. Chandra Mohan Laghuvaram, 46, of Plymouth drowned in the St. Croix River after he went under and did not resurface. Zakariya Aden Odowa, 18, drowned at the Quarry Park and Nature Preserve in Waite Park after jumping into about 35 feet of water, officials with the Stearns County Sheriff's Office said.
