Curious Minnesota is the Star Tribune's community-driven reporting project. It puts readers' questions at the center of our newsroom's reporting.
Readers have submitted more than 3,000 questions since we launched the project in 2019. Reporters across our newsroom hunt down the answers to these questions to produce Curious Minnesota stories. For every story, we try to connect with the reader who asked the question.
How do we decide which questions to answer? Here is a detailed explanation of the process. But we generally try to answer questions about Minnesota-related topics that have an interesting story behind them and might appeal to a broad audience.
Curious Minnesota extends beyond written stories, as well. Our Curious Minnesota podcast introduces listeners to the reporters behind the articles. It is available for free wherever you find podcasts.
