The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office has identified two men who drowned in separate accidents in Twin Cities suburbs.
Leland Michael Morris, 26, of Fridley was found unresponsive at 5:13 p.m. Sunday at Moore Lake Park in the 5800 block of Central Avenue SE. in Fridley. He died shortly before midnight at Hennepin Healthcare.
Bobby Jerome Byrum, 39, of Monroe, N.C., was found unresponsive about 7 p.m. at the La Quinta Inn and Suites in the 5100 block of American Boulevard in Bloomington. He died less than an hour later at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.
Both deaths were ruled accidents, but the Anoka and Hennepin County sheriff's offices are continuing to investigate.
