Star U runner Rochelle "Rocky" Racette was killed in an auto accident in 1981, and ever since then, this event has been held in her name. Despite its sad origins, it's a fun, friendly race that is short, but tough: six undulating kilometers around the U's Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul. It will challenge your legs, but not your wallet; this is the best workout you can get for $15, period — and the money goes to a scholarship for a student athlete. This year's run is scheduled for Nov. 8. imathlete.com/events/rockysrun
