Running feels good, but Thanksgiving Day races feel even better — a healthy blend of activity, family and holiday before the food and the football are served. Now in its eighth year, Fast Before the Feast in White Bear Lake is such a race, but one with higher aspirations; runners are encouraged to donate items for two local food shelves. Organizers are hoping to collect 10,000 pounds of food this year from 10K, 5K and fun runners (walkers, strollers, pets welcome). 1340 Hwy. 96, White Bear Lake; trifitnesswbl.com
