When Restaurant Alma chef/owner Alex Roberts started envisioning its future, the James Beard award-winner began to think big. The result is an exciting, multifaceted new project that will add a casual breakfast-to-late night cafe, coffee bar, wine bar and bakery (pastry chef Carrie Riggs' test-drive pop-up events were an autumn 2014 sensation) to the roomy space formerly occupied by a Dunn Bros. outlet. Roberts is adding six overnight guest rooms to the building's second floor. Also on the way: expanded kitchen facilities and a refurbished dining room. Can't wait. 528 University Av.
