Panda Express, the popular Chinese restaurant known for its fast-food style service and most commonly found in shopping malls and supermarkets, will open a stand-alone restaurant in the Shoppes of Woodbury Village.

Barring construction or weather delays, the restaurant is set to open Thursday in the space previously occupied by American Burger Emporium at 7455 Currell Blvd., said Peggy Hart, Panda Express' senior regional real estate manager.

The store will have a full menu, including its Honey Walnut Shrimp and Kobari Beef, along with customer favorites Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken String Beans. During the summer it will offer patio seating.

The restaurant will employ 15 to 20 workers and will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
