The 19-year-old man who died in an apparent fall from a residence hall at Bemidji State University was drinking alcohol at a large off-campus party the night he died, authorities said Tuesday.
Isaac Morris, of Cokato, Minn., was visiting the university when he died Sunday. Bemidji police said "it appears he accidentally fell from a seventh-floor window.
Police interviewed several adults who were at the house party and supplied the alcohol. Witnesses also told police they saw Morris drink alcohol at the party.
Police said they will refer the case to the Beltrami County Attorney's Office for possible charges against the party's hosts, including providing alcohol to a minor resulting in death, a felony.
Other possible charges: providing alcohol to a minor, disorderly house and allowing a minor to consume alcohol.
