Logan Shore made it easy to determine Minnesota's baseball Gatorade Player of the Year. The Coon Rapids pitcher and position player put up elite numbers on both defense and offense.
Shore was 4-0 on the mound with a 0.27 ERA. He struck out 32 batters and gave up just 14 hits and four walks. At the plate, he hit .429 and had 12 RBI.
The 2012 Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year led the Cardinals to a 13-3 regular-season record and into the Class 3A, Section 5 winners' bracket final scheduled for Friday at Midway Stadium.
He has signed with the University of Florida.
Shore also is projected as an early pick in Major League Baseball's amateur draft in June.
