Doctors have upgraded the conditions of the two drivers involved in a Sunday crash that killed 11-year-old Joey Balistreri of Burnsville.

Joey's father, Geoffrey Balistreri, is in fair condition, from serious, according to doctors at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Doctors at Hennepin County Medical Center list Leah Graeber of Savage in serious condition, an improvement from critical.

State troopers reported that Graeber crossed into oncoming traffic about 8 p.m. Sunday on Hwy. 13 and plowed into the Balistreris' GMC Denali. An open alcohol container was found in Graeber's vehicle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Geoffrey Balistreri's wife and daughter suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Prosecutors have not yet charged Graeber with a crime.
