WASHINGTON – When Tre Jones turned toward the Duke bench after hitting five three-pointers Friday against Virginia Tech, he was looking for coach Mike Krzyzewski, who'd encouraged him out of a shooting slump.

But there was someone else, too.

"Yeah, him and Cam [Reddish]," Jones said of his fellow freshman, who missed the 75-73 win with a knee injury. "I know he wanted to be out there with me [Friday]."

Reddish, a projected top-10 NBA pick, will be a game-time decision for Sunday's East Regional final against Michigan State, Krzyzewski said.

"We're not going to really do anything physical [Saturday]," Krzyzewski said. "We've got to be careful. … If he's progressed, we might try to get him to shoot. But we haven't done that yet."

Reddish is Duke's third-leading scorer at 13.6 points per game. Krzyzewski said the injury is not structural, but "a jumper's knee, a tendinitis."

"At different times, it can inhibit you, or you feel pretty good and then you can play," Krzyzewski said. "But [Friday] we weren't able to do that."

Michigan State forward Nick Ward is confident he'll return Sunday after reinjuring his recently broken left hand Friday against LSU. Ward took a hard fall and came down on the hand.

"It was bruised; I'll be fine," said Ward, who averages 13.4 points per game. "It's a day-by-day type thing, but I'll be fine."
