Congratulations to Roseville-based photographer Tim Graul for winning our first North Report Reader Photo Contest for this beautiful Milky Way shot taken in March, on his first visit to the North Shore, as the state was beginning to shut down and social distancing was becoming the norm.
It was a tight race, with Tim capturing 24 percent of votes in the five-person field.
Thanks to all the finalists and all the readers who regularly tag #stribduluth on Instagram and email their photos to duluth@startribune.com for a chance to be featured in our North Report newsletter. If you are not getting that delivered to your inbox, you can sign up here.
