Eagan authorities on Saturday were asking residents to stay vigilant following two sexual assaults at Lebanon Hills Regional Park.

Police said a woman was attacked around 11 a.m. Thursday while walking alone on a park trail. The assault followed a "similar incident" near the same location on Sept. 7, but that victim got away from the suspect.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday. According to a news release, both Eagan police and the Dakota County Sheriff's Office "are actively working on leads in both cases, therefore this is an open/active investigation."

In the meantime, both departments have increased patrols in and around Lebanon Hills Park.

While investigators search for suspects, Eagan police ask residents to walk in pairs or groups, stay aware of their surroundings, avoid poorly lit areas and report suspicious activity to 911. Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact the Eagan Police Department.
