With Detroit starting lefthander David Price, will he find a spot for Eduardo Escobar in the lineup. Perhaps left field, where the lefthanded hitting Oswaldo Arcia roams.

Escobar was at it again Friday in the Twins' 5-2 win over Boston. He was 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI. He's batting .344 with a team high 20 RBI in 18 games.

Molitor is committed to playing Escobar as much as he can to keep his bat in the lineup. Will Opening Day be one of those days?

''We've talked about that some,'' Molitor said. ''I don't have to finalize that right now. My reaction is that I'm probably going to go with Arcia that day and we'll see if that's the way it lands and when we get Eskie in there.''

Righthander Ricky Nolasco, making his final spring appearance, held the Red Sox to one run over three innings on four hits and one strikeout. He completed camp with a 3.97 ERA and leaves as the No. 2 starter in the rotation following Ervin Santana's 80-game suspension for using a performance enhancing drug.
