Preview: The Gophers (13-14, 4-14 Big Ten) finish the regular season with road games at Maryland and Northwestern this week. Their last road win was 75-65 on Dec. 11 at Michigan. Ben Johnson nearly saw his team pull off an upset Sunday at home on senior night after trailing by 27 points in an 84-79 loss against Indiana. The Terrapins (14-15, 6-12) haven't faced the Gophers yet this season, but they've won their last two home games. Arguably the highlight of the season was Sunday's 75-60 win against Ohio State. Maryland is 12-2 in the all-time series against Minnesota, including six straight wins since falling 89-75 at home on Feb. 22, 2017.
Players to watch: Gophers seniors Payton Willis, E.J. Stephens, and Sean Sutherlin combined for 55 points and 11 assists in Sunday's loss against Indiana. Willis had 28 points and seven assists. Sutherlin and Stephens have scored in double figures the past three games. Maryland is celebrating the senior night for Eric Ayala, Fatts Russell, Xavier Green, and Minnesota native Simon Wright.
Numbers: The Gophers went 14-for-36 from three-point range against the Hoosiers, including 9-for-21 in the second half. It was tied for the fourth most threes in a game in team history.
