The skinny: The Cornhuskers, ranked 13th in the latest Associated Press poll, visit Minneapolis for the first time since 1989 and the first time ever as a member of the same conference. They have won 14 consecutive games against the Gophers and have scored 111 consecutive points in the series. Even before the loss of All-America defensive lineman Jared Crick to a torn pectoral muscle, Nebraska had been a disappointment on defense this season, allowing 27.2 points per game. But behind junior tailback Rex Burkhead (105.8 yards per game), the Huskers wield the Big Ten's second-best rushing offense and average 37.0 points per game.
