DVDs are on the decline, but the silver discs still hold sway for favorite TV shows. And, with Mother's Day and Father's Day coming up, they make thoughtful gifts. An ideal option is the well-loved "The Great British Baking Show," now out in separate three-disc sets for Seasons 1-3 (PBS, $20 each), which actually are Series 4-6 of the UK version. The gentle program offers all of the drama of U.S. cooking contests with none of the shenanigans. Sadly, as with most PBS DVDs, there are no extras.
Coming Tuesday
• "A Dog's Purpose"
• "Gold"
• "The Red Turtle"
• "Rings"
• "Saturday Night Fever" (director's cut)
