Several people were treated for injuries after the Vista Star, a sightseeing boat in Duluth, struck a breakwater late Saturday, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said.
Emergency services received a call about 10:45 p.m. that the Vista Star had hit the Wisconsin Entry breakwater but was not taking on water, the Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
The boat had 84 people aboard, according to the release.
Responders, including the county Rescue Squad, U.S. Coast Guard and Duluth Fire Department, found the Vista Star listing to one side in 5-foot waves, the release said.
One injured person reportedly was taken to Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital for treatment.
Dan Wolfe of Northern News Now posted a picture of Vista Star passengers in life jackets and reported that its crew had struggled to open a hatch to check whether the boat was taking on water.
The Vista Star was escorted back to its slip under its own power, where several people were checked out for minor injuries.
The Sheriff's Office was investigating the collision.
