Last warehouse sale for floral/furniture Back in 2006, I wrote for the first time about the excellent buys at Market Street Floral warehouse sales. Now that the owner has opened a retail shop in Mound and is getting out of the wholesale biz, this will be her last warehouse sale. Market Street is closing its warehouse for the sale today through Saturday (15395 31st Av. N., Suite 3, Plymouth, 612-670-1806). Save 75 percent or more on high-quality silk and dried floral stems, trees, containers, garden and home accessories and used office furniture. Furniture (dressers, chests, tables, chairs) and table lamps from Neiberger and Associates, a UMAGA showroom that is closing, will also be at this sale. Most accessories will sell for $1 to $5; furniture for up to $300. Sale hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Know of lower prices on carpet? Let me know. I'm still waiting to find a source with lower prices on carpet and other flooring materials than Jack Rubenstein Wholesalers (952-922-4781). Occasionally, sale prices are lower at Menards or Home Depot. In a price check last year, Rubenstein beat Empire's prices handily on similar carpets. Owner Joel Grossman will refer you to a showroom that includes a large brand-name selection, up to three hours of free interior design service for color selection, free measuring, installation at $5 to $7 per yard, and six months no-interest financing. Hardwoods, tile, granite and laminates also are available, although readers have told me that Rubenstein's prices on carpet are the lowest; hardwood prices just so-so.

Got big feet and True Religion? Off to the Rack Nordstrom Rack (Mall of America, Bloomington, 952-854-3131) has two sales to attract male and female fashionistas. A large shipment of contemporary clothing and accessories should be on the floor today, including, for women: Michelle watches ($175 to $499), Juicy Couture velour, Kate Spade handbags, Trina Turk sportswear and Burberry shoes. Guys score Chip and Pepper jeans. Ed Hardy tees, jeans from True Religion, 7 and Joe's are for both men and women

Starting Saturday at 9 a.m. is the Rack large size shoe event for women's sizes 10 1/2 to 13 and men's sizes 14-18. Dressy, casual and athletic styles will be available.

Last sale at current Gabberts warehouse After 50 years in the same digs, Gabberts is moving its warehouse. For bargain hunters, that means the largest sale in the history of the upscale furniture store. Future warehouse sales, never a given, will be smaller. The discounts (40 to 80 percent) will be more generous than in the past because of the move, said spokeswoman Kathleen Crandall. Furniture for all rooms will be there, including a lot of framed art and display fixtures. Warehouse shoppers will also get a 10 percent off coupon to use in the main store or Odds n Ends in the Galleria in Edina. Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 7215 Cahill Rd., Edina, 952-927-1500, www.gabberts.com).
