Twenty-eight high school football teams across seven classifications in Minnesota began play at U.S. Bank Stadium Thursday in the state semifinals for a chance to advance to next week's Prep Bowl — the culmination of the season when 14 teams square off for the state championship, from Class 6A to Nine-Player.

The semifinals continued Friday and conclude Saturday. The Prep Bowl is also hosted at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Class 1A Semifinals

Springfield vs. Mahnomen/Waubun 9 a.m.

Parkers Prairie vs. Minneota 11:30 a.m.

Class 3A Semifinals

Dassel-Cokato vs. Pequot Lakes, 2 p.m.

Albany vs. Stewartville, 4:30 p.m.

Class 5A Semifinals

Alexandria vs. Owatonna, 7 p.m.
