In a news release, the Pine County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a man was shot to death Friday in the 57000 block of Barns Spring Road, a few miles north of St. Croix State Park.
According to jail records, authorities arrested a 31-year-old man Friday on suspicion of second-degree murder. The Minnesota Star Tribune does not typically name suspects until they are charged.
