You can forget any all-night dance parties this weekend at First Avenue. The club has five sold-out or nearly sold-out concerts in a row this week after working last weekend's three 1-7 a.m. Prince celebrations.

"Our staff is fried," said the club's owner, Dayna Frank.

However, there are still several opportunities for hometown fans to continue celebrating Prince for a second weekend in a row following his April 21 death.

Party on the old block

Bryant Junior High doesn't exist anymore, but its replacement in the old building, the Sabathani Community Center, is hosting its Prince Block Party Celebration to commemorate the south Minneapolis school's most famous alum. Look for big fun, not big names, as young musicians and DJs play to families alongside face-painters and puppeteers. (1-6 p.m. Sat., 310 E. 38th St., Mpls., free.)

Hunker down at Bunker's

The veteran crew of R Factor, formerly the Rupert's house band, is turning its show Friday into a Prince tribute. Then the full-time Prince tribute group Chase & Ovation is playing a regularly scheduled but well-timed gig Saturday. And don't forget the usual Sunday and Monday night jammers, Dr. Mambo's Combo, who are likely to play his songs — always offering the musicianship that sometimes drew Prince himself down to jam with them, including ex-NPG drummer Michael Bland. (9:30 p.m. each night, Bunker's Grill, 761 Washington Av. N., Mpls., $7-$10.)

'Purple Rain' at the Capri

The site of Prince's legendary 1979 showcases for Warner Bros. record executives, the Capri Theater in north Minneapolis will host a free screening of his all-time greatest showcase, organized by the MSP Film Society. (7 p.m. Sat., Capri Theater, 2027 W. Broadway, Mpls., reserve tickets at MSPFilm.org.)

'Raining' elsewhere

Many movie chains nationwide will continue screening "Purple Rain" this week based on demand, including AMC's Southdale, Rosedale, Eden Prairie, Inver Grove Heights and Arbor Lakes theaters, Regal's Brooklyn Center and Eagan outlets, and the Showplace Icon in St. Louis Park. (Times and prices vary.) Also, Minneapolis's Riverview Theater is showing it at 9:30 p.m. all week, and at 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, while the Uptown Theater has a midnight screening Friday.

YouTube surfing

Not as communal as the rest, sure, but you can do this one in your underwear. Not that Prince was opposed to wearing skivvies in public. The usual strict policing of Prince-related bootleg video clips online has either been put on hold or simply been overwhelmed since last week, and fans have been taking it all in — everything from that time he yucked it up with the Muppets in 1997 to that time he shut down the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony with "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" in 2004 to several of the times he performed at First Avenue in the '80s.
