A 24-year-old Lester Prairie motorcyclist who died Friday in a crash in Minnetrista has been identified.
The man, identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner as Johnathan David Hommer, entered County Road 44 going west at Hwy. 7 and struck an SUV just before 11 p.m. Friday, according to a Department of Public Safety crash report. He was wearing a helmet and had been using alcohol, the crash report said.
The medical examiner determined that the cause of death was blunt-force injuries from the collision and that the manner of death was accident.
The SUV driver and passenger were uninjured. Alcohol was not involved on the SUV driver's part, the report said.
Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the county road the motorcyclist entered.
