Robbinsdale-Hopkins-Mound Westonka's bid for a fifth straight state title in the PI division of adapted soccer started successfully Friday at Stillwater High School.

R-H-MW defeated Mounds View-Irondale-Roseville 9-1, getting three goals from Mike Madson. R-H-MW will face St. Paul Humboldt on Saturday after Humboldt topped Park Center 4-3 in overtime. The second of Jordan Johnson's goals provided the margin of victory.

Dakota United defeated Wayzata-Minnetonka 13-2, with Grayson Nicolay and Riley Wisniewski -- a freshman and a seventh-grader -- each scoring three goals. Anoka-Hennepin won the last quarterfinal match, beating South Suburban 8-4 on four goals by Corey Gieske.

In the CI division, top-seeded Park Center won 14-5 over Chaska-Chanhassen-Prior Lake-Shakopee. Augustine Wodrich scored five goals for Park Center, which will face Dakota United in the semifinals. Dakota United took down North Suburban 11-1 on five goals from Ricky Arends. In the other bracket, Mounds View-Irondale-Roseville beat South Washington County 6-1. Bruce Matusovic had three goals. MV-I-R will face Burnsville-Farmington-Lakeville in the semifinals Saturday at Stillwater after B-F-L knocked off defending champion Anoka-Hennepin 5-2. Bryan Estrada Martinez had three goals in the win.
