Someone shot and killed a woman whose body was left on vacant residential property in Jordan, officials said.

Tabitha Renee Justice, 46, was shot once in the head. Police found her on the afternoon of Jan. 28 on the parcel in the 200 block of Quaker Avenue, according to police and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

Justice had been reported missing to law enforcement shortly before her body was found, police said.

There have been no arrests announced in connection with what officials are calling a homicide.

Scott County records show that the 25-acre parcel is owned by Bobby & Steve's Auto World, which has numerous vehicle service outlets around the Twin Cities.

Bobby & Steve's partner Melissa Williams told the Minnesota Star Tribune she was contacted by police about the situation, and she gave them permission to search the property.

Williams said the body was found in an outbuilding behind the main house.

Allen Sando, director of operations for Bobby & Steve's, said at least one Justice family member rented the home until July 2023.

Sando said the most recent tenant moved out in September because the Minnesota Department of Transportation is about to close on buying the property for a large-scale makeover of the Quaker Avenue exit off Hwy. 169. Work is scheduled to start in the spring, according to an agency spokesperson.

Police said they are receiving tips about Justice's death by phone at 952-492-2009, anonymously through the "Jordan Tips" smartphone app and by texting 847411.
