A teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting in southern Minnesota over the weekend that left one man dead and another wounded, officials said Monday.
The gunfire in Austin occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 110 block of 5th Avenue NW., where officers found a man fatally wounded, police said. A second man was taken by private vehicle to a nearby hospital, according to police.
Police said a 16-year-old boy from Austin was arrested in the city. Charges have yet to be filed against the teenager, whose identity has not been released.
Police identified the man who was killed as Opoka James Bot Lob Nathanael, 27, of Austin.
Officials have not addressed a possible motive for the shooting.
