Book sales to benefit education foundation A benefit for Burnsville-Eagan-Savage's education foundation, Foundation 191, is Monday at the Burnsville Barnes and Noble, 828 W. County Road 42.
A portion of sales on that day, national "Read Across America Day," will benefit the foundation. For purchases to qualify, buyers must use a voucher available at the store or mention the foundation.
The bookstore will also host special readers. At 11 a.m., those readers include Superintendent Ben Kanninen and Savage Mayor Janet Williams. At 5 p.m., state Rep. Will Morgan, DFL-Burnsville, a physics teacher at Burnsville High School, will read.

School play involving Holocaust rescheduled Lakeville North High School is rescheduling its spring play, a drama about the Holocaust, to recognize Passover and honor Jewish patrons.
"I Never Saw Another Butterfly" is based on a true story about children imprisoned at Terezin between 1942 and 1945.
The new production days are April 11, 12, 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. and April 12 and 19 at 2 p.m.

Workshop on teaching kids self-discipline Two community libraries in District 196 will host parenting workshops aimed at instilling self-discipline in children. Trained facilitators will lead the "Say Yes to No" workshops, which will discuss themes in "No: Why Kids -- of All Ages -- Need to Hear It and Ways Parents Can Say It," a book by parenting expert David Walsh.
The first workshop will be at 5:30 p.m. March 4 at Galaxie Library, 14955 Galaxie Av., Apple Valley. A second will be at 7 p.m. March 18 at Wescott Library, 1340 Wescott Road, Eagan. Register online for either at www.melsa.org/go/parenting .
