St. Paul police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man Wednesday evening in the Frogtown neighborhood.
According to a news release, police were called to the intersection of Charles Avenue and Galtier Street just before 7 p.m. on reports of shots fired. They found a man sitting in a parked car with gunshot wounds to his torso.
The man was rushed to Regions Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He had not been identified as of late Wednesday, and an autopsy is pending.
No arrests had been made as of late Wednesday, and police were inspecting the scene of the shooting for evidence. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call 651-266-5650.
The shooting was St. Paul's 15th homicide of the year, compared with 21 as of the same date in 2023, according to a Star Tribune database.
