A large portion of the Deep South will receive no measurable rainfall throughWednesday as a strong ridge of high pressure remains anchored over Florida.This high pressure system will prevent thunderstorms from developing under thescorching afternoon sunshine from Monday into Wednesday.

Many areas across the South have received 50 percent or less of normal rainfallduring the last month. Some areas have received only 25 percent.

Along with the dry weather, daily high temperatures will run 5-10 degrees abovenormal with many locations pushing into the 90s.
