The Vikings' focus has been square on Kirk Cousins, but behind the scenes they are trying to secure other free agents, too — including their own. Here are the three most likely to be signed:
K Kai Forbath: While he missed five extra points, he was fairly consistent in connecting on 32 of 38 field-goal attempts.
CB Terence Newman: He'll be 40 in September, but unless the Vikings anticipate a big falloff, Newman was reliable enough last year to warrant another season.
DT Shamar Stephen: He is productive in his role at a position of need next to Linval Joseph.
