The Timberwolves have only one preseason game at Target Center this season, and coincidentally it will conflict with a WNBA playoff game.
So the Wolves-Denver Nuggets game scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18, has been moved to Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
The Lynx and the New York Liberty have a best-of-five WNBA Finals series that starts Thursday night in Brooklyn.
Game 4 of the series, if necessary, is set for Target Center on Oct. 18.
The Wolves' next preseason game is Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers in Des Moines; they face the New York Knicks — and former teammate Karl-Anthony Towns — on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden.
That game won't conflict, arena-wise, with the second game of the Lynx-Liberty series, which is at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The Wolves open the NBA regular season on Oct. 22 in Los Angeles against the Lakers.
