A storm system pressing southward through the Rockies is dropping snow inthe region, creating treacherous travel conditions. A general 1 to 3 incheswill fall today and tonight from eastern Idaho into the western Dakotas. From 3to 6 inches will fall at higher elevations of southern Montana and Wyoming. Upto a foot of snow will fall around Yellowstone National Park.Snow will not spread into the Colorado Rockies until Saturday, because thesystem dropping the snow is inching along very slowly. Snow amounts will palein comparison to the last snowstorm for the region.
