A storm system pressing across the northern Plains into the Midwest hassparked violent thunderstorms throughout these regions the past few days.Dangerous thunderstorms will rumble over the eastern Great Lakes and the OhioRiver Valley westward into southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma today andtonight.
These storms will produce torrential downpours, large hail and wind gustspast 50 mph. The strongest of storms could also spawn an isolated tornado.
Travel problems throughout these areas can be expected both on the ground andin the air.
A few powerful thunderstorms could also erupt in the western portions ofNebraska and Kansas this evening.
