NO. 1: LHP, 26 YEARS OLD, 6-3, 195 POUNDS
Answer: Adalberto Mejia. Once ranked among Baseball America's top 100 prospects, Mejia was acquired from San Francisco for Eduardo Nunez in July 2016, but the Twins moved on after he went 0-2 with an 8.80 ERA in 13 relief appearances this year. He went to the Angels, then was designated for assignment again and went to the Cardinals, then was DFAed yet again and landed back with the Angels. NO. 2: RHP, 28 YEARS OLD, 6-4, 220 POUNDS
Answer: Mike Morin. Born in Andover but raised in the Kansas City area, Morin was one of nine Twins pitchers to earn a save this year, but he's the only one to do so by stranding the bases loaded in a one-run game. His ERA was at 1.66 after as scoreless inning at Oakland on July 2, but that ended up as his second-to-last appearance with the Twins; he was eventually sold to the Phillies, his fifth MLB team. NO. 3: RHP, 25 YEARS OLD, 6-3, 205 POUNDS
Answer: Sean Poppen. A 19th-round pick in 2016, he is one of two pitchers on this list who is still with the Twins organization. Poppen's MLB debut came June 19, when he pitched four innings of relief against Boston to save the Twins bullpen a day after a 17-inning victory. He is one of three Harvard products to pitch in the majors this season, joining Oakland's Tanner Anderson and Milwaukee's Brent Suter. NO. 4: RHP, 27 YEARS OLD, 6-2, 210 POUNDS
Answer: Ryan Eades. Coming from college powerhouse Louisiana State, Eades' MLB debut came at Detroit, and his first strikeout came against JaCoby Jones, his ex-LSU roommate and close friend who stood at Eades' wedding. He made six late-season relief appearances for Baltimore (and sadly switching to uniform No. 36), with his final pitch of 2019 hit for a walkoff homer by Anthony Alford, ending an 11-10, 15-inning marathon at Toronto on Sept. 23. NO. 5: RHP, 33 YEARS OLD, 5-11, 205 POUNDS
Answer: Austin Adams. Not to be confused with the other Austin Adams —another righthanded reliever who was with the Mariners when this Adams debuted for the Twins at Seattle — he was designated for assignment after his five-run outing in Anaheim and quickly snapped up by the Tigers, who used him 13 times in June and July (12 of the 13 games were losses) before sending him back to the minors. NO. 6: RHP, 25 YEARS OLD, 6-4, 205 POUNDS
Answer: Chase De Jong. Traded from Seattle for Zach Duke, De Jong was cut from 2019 spring training on the same day as Tyler Duffey. But whereas Duffey has become one of the Twins' most important pitchers, De Jong never returned from Rochester following his lone outing in April, landing on the injured list, then getting released on July 12. He signed 10 days later with Sugar Land of the independent Atlantic League, going 4-4 with a 5.56 ERA. NO. 7: LHP, 26 YEARS OLD, 6-6, 228 POUNDS
Answer: Andrew Vasquez. The only 32nd-round pick by the Twins to play in a major league game for them, Vasquez is listed without an ERA for the Twins this year because of his failure to record an out. He hurt his shoulder in May, then got taken off the 40-man roster and sent down from Rochester to Class AA Pensacola in July, and he posted a 5.40 ERA in 30 minor league appearances, but he remains in the organization. NO. 8: RHP, 36 YEARS OLD, 6-1, 180 POUNDS
Answer: Carlos Torres. Pictured above pitching against the Twins for Detroit in June, he went 4-1 in eight appearances at Rochester before getting the call to the Twins. "Thanks to the fans for welcoming me already," he tweeted upon getting recalled. Four days later, he tweeted: "When you don't even throw but get DFA'd. #SignsYouNeedANewJob" He did land one, pitching four games for the Giants' Class AAA Sacramento team before getting released again.
