Dr. L.A. Otieno-Ayim

Otieno-Ayim, Dr. L.A. age 83, of Mpls., passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024. A dedicated community servant, distinguished dentist, and cherished family member, Dr. Otieno's remarkable life was a testament to his unwavering commitment to his profession, family, and community. His humor and unique perspective brought joy to those around him. Dr. L. A. Otieno-Ayim is survived by his former spouse Agnesgrace; children, James (Maren), Peter Simon, John Paul (Rebecca), and Anna; grandchildren Emmanuell, Nereya, Malia, Olivia and a host of bonus grandchildren; sister, Doris; brother Apollo and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents Jonathan & Dorca, sisters Edith & Leah, brother Noah, and granddaughter Alena. Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the U of M - McNamara Alumni Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made to Meharry Medical College via the Dr. L.A.
