Luxon, Dale LaVerne It is with the fondness of great memories that the family of Dale LaVerne Luxon announce his passing at the age of 91 on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, after a life richly lived in service and kindness. Son of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Luxon of Karns City, PA born in Fall 1932, lived a full, accomplished life. Upon graduating from East Brady High School in 1950, was then honorably discharged from the Navy in 1955 as Dental Technician Petty Officer 2nd Class. Dale graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce Degree from Grove City College in Pennsylvania, studying Accounting. Dale created a legacy with his wife Joan Alice Reed with 62 years of marriage, demonstrating to everyone true love indeed exists. Their love is within their 3 children: Dana Luxon, Dory Neurock and Dyan Luxon. Their love extends to their six grandchildren: Kirsten Luxon, Nicole Neurock, Sabrina Neurock, Kenneth Dale Schuckers II and Ana Schuckers, as well as their three great-grandchildren. He was a beacon of light and life as he served in many organizations over the years. In college, he was the business manager of the college newspaper, president of the Omicron Xi social fraternity and Omicron Delta Kappa, national honorary leadership fraternity. He was also a member of the Inter Fraternity Council as well as the Vet's Club. Charitable organizations close to his heart he participated in include Syria Shriners, Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Scottish Rite and Pennsylvania State Elks Association. Dale was also an active member of his church, Hebron United Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania since 1978, also serving as a Deacon. A Celebration of Life is being held at The Glenn Hopkins, Hopkins MN on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10AM. A special thank you to The Glen Hopkins staff for their kindness, support and care shown to Dale L. Luxon during his time there.
