Shirley A. Warren

Warren, Shirley A. 92, of Chanhassen, and long-time resident of Eden Prairie, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 26th, 2024. Shirley devoted much of her life to volunteering for civic and veteran causes, proudly serving as a life member and past District President of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. Shirley is survived by her beloved children and their families: Cathy (David) Jewell; Sheryl (Bob) Longnecker; their children, Katie (Matt) Landsman and Abby (Matt) Franklin; Denise (Jerry) Kelsay; their children, Josh Jeppesen and Jerry Kelsay; Tracy (Wes) Harms; Gordon (Lisa) Warren; her great-grandchildren, Alex, Maci, Lydia, and Nora; her brother, Dr. L.H. Ellington, Jr.; his children, Scott (Kathy) and Leslie (Michael); and her cherished feline companion, Gracie and many dear friends who provided life-long memories. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Lester H., Sr., and Annie P. Ellington; sister-in-law, Patricia Ellington; nephew, Matt Ellington; former husbands Arthur Stead, Jr., and Cedric L. Warren; and her dear friend, John Dokken. Visitation will be held at the Washburn-McReavy Hopkins Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 23rd, from 10-11 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
