Charles Steven Snyder

Snyder, Charles Steven age 73, died peacefully on 10-8-2024. Chuck is the 2nd son of parents Al & Betty and is preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike. Born November 28, 1951 in Long Prairie MN, his childhood was spent on the farm in LP, moving to Duluth, Hastings and then Excelsior. Chuck was a Minnetonka High School graduate when he enrolled at Control Data Institute and was quickly recruited by Wang Labs of Chicago Illinois as a computer engineer. Chuck advanced to multi-state manager based in Hopkins MN and continued there for 19 years until the company dissolved. Chuck joined SouthWest Transit Agency as an operations manager during its rise from a small rural transit agency to SWTA being named "Transit Agency of the Year" by the American Public Transit Association in 2004. Chuck retired to pursue his dream of sailing and moved to South Pasadena Florida and lived aboard his 36ft Tyana sailboat, "Lobo". Chuck was a fan of the warm weather, became harbor master, and developed many lasting friendships. In 2020, he returned to MN to be nearer family & live quietly in Chanhassen. Chuck is survived by brothers Greg (Gail), Henry (Eileen), Marvin (Sheila), Doug (Maria), Fred, sister Mary (Glenn), sister-in-law Sylvia, and many nephews, nieces, and family. Gene R. Stauffacher

Stauffacher, Gene R. 84, of Mpls passed away on September 24, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Gayle; children, Kari, Dale, Joel and Heather; grandchildren, great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Donald L. Stevenson

Stevenson, Donald L. Age 90, of Plymouth, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, October 13th, 2024. Preceded in death by parents and one brother. Donald was an electrical engineer, working most of his career with Honeywell, retiring in 1992. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a faithful Christian man and was active in his church, Calvary Lutheran of Golden Valley. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Phyllis Johnson Stevenson; daughters Barbara (Bruce Wanquist), Liane (Kevin) Buechler, Sharon (Philip) Lindau, and son Timothy (Lori) Stevenson, eleven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Memorial service Monday, October 21 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior at Calvary Lutheran Church 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley. Inurnment following at Calvary Lutheran Columbarium. Roger Allen Suter

Suter, Roger Allen age 84, passed away suddenly in his home on 10/09/24. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Suter, along with his parents Herbert, Elsa and brother Gail. Service to be held on Oct. 28th at the Cremation Society of Brooklyn Park - 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park MN 55445. Visitation 10:00am, Service at 11:00am. Donald Henry Switala

Switala, Donald Henry Age 86 of Lake Elmo Passed away at home on October 13, 2024. Don is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Jan, of 50 years. Parents Marie and Frank, siblings Mocky, Buddy, Sis, Bob, Ray, Mary Lou, Stan, and baby sister Ella Mae. Don's love lives on in his daughter's Denise and Clay, Dawn and Jeff. Grandchildren Camille and Ethan, Tess and Jordan, Colton, and many grand dogs. Also, many relatives, friends at home, and in Tucson, Arizona. Don was proud of his St. Paul roots but loved Lake Elmo, the community he called home for over 50 years. He also took pride in his successful business, Broughton Printing, along with his partners Jim and Virg. Upon retirement he enjoyed spending his time in MN and AZ golfing, playing cards, puzzles, and dining out. He always made time for his friends and family, especially in their moments of need. His laughter, kindness, and generosity will be remembered by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday, 10/25/24, at GUARDIAN ANGELS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 8260 4th St. N, Oakdale. Thorson, Paul Engen Age 98, of Decorah, IA and Minneapolis, died Oct. 6. Professional Engineer at Honeywell and lifelong active Lutheran, volunteer, singer, fun loving and faithful 65 year husband of Joan, who died in 2019. Also preceded in death by parents Ben & Agnes, and brother David. Veteran. Proud graduate of University of MN ("Rah, rah, rah for Ski-U-Mah!").
